Draft Profile & Scouting Report

  • Vision is excellent and in the top tier of the class

  • Very decisive runner that blends special speed variation and uses his blocks exceptionally well

  • Runs between the tackles very well and finishes EVERY run

  • Unreal amount of missed tackles forced with 89 on 262 attempts and impressive 1,168 yd after contact (top tier of the class)

  • Gets his pads super low and shows ELITE contact balance; excellent blend for breaking tackles

  • PLUS top-end film speed and backed that up with an impressive 40ty: 4.38 (95th PCTL) at the combine

  • Explosion from the hand off and shows an excellent start/stop ability; wins to the edge nearly every time

  • One-cut runner with no wasted steps and special make-you-miss stuff at all levels once in the open field with PLUS lateral quickness and impressive hurdle

  • Ball security is excellent with only 1 fumble on 262 carries in 2021

  • Ideal draft capital at 2;41 to the Seahawks

  • Perfect landing spot in SEA and has opportunity to be the lead RB in a 3-down role by years end given Carson’s health (doubtful he plays) and Penny’s questionable ongoing health

  • Appears to have capable hands but did not have much production or usage at Michigan State with only 13 receptions on 16 targets for 89 yds and 1 TD

  • Very average at best as a pass protector; will miss cut blocks at times and has below average technique which could limit his early playing time on 3rd down

  • Transferred from Wake Forest in 2020 and only 1 real (albeit ELITE) season of production at Michigan State
