Draft Profile & Scouting Report

Adequate size for an NFL running back at 5’ 10”, 210 lbs
PLUS vision and often finds the cut-back lane; tends to feel and read blocks well
Very decisive runner that runs with good tempo and pace
Above average acceleration in & out of cuts; can be an explosive 1-cut runner at times
Above average array of moves in open space with a PLUS jump cut and nice spin
Profiles as an undersized early down running back although running style & best traits do not really match which makes him a tough fit at the next level
Does not break very many tackles with only 29 missed tackles forced and is limited after contact
Top-end film speed is lacking and is below average; often caught from behind on any run over 20 yds
Notably challenged in the receiving game and at times looks like a liability with poor hands; no rule route tree concepts and very limited usage and production throughout his career
Some ball security issues in 2021 with 6 fumbles on 244 carries
Struggles at times in pass protection and unsure which is the greater component either effort or technique
Pro-day and testing measurables leave a lot to be desired with a 4.63 (25th PCTL) 40ty yard dash & 7.17 (25th PCTL) 3-cone
A DISMAL 4.5 yards per carry; will not get it done at the next level
Notable injury concerns: serious eye injury in 2019 that nearly caused him to lose his sight & foot injury requiring surgery caused him to miss almost half of 2020 season
Unsurprisingly went undrafted to DET; up-hill climb to make the 53-man roster
